The Zelda Marathon in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters (Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker)

The intent of The Zelda Marathon is to raise funds in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Catharines – Thorold & District. The funds will directly support their organization by aiding in the production of future fundraising efforts, helping their mentorship programs and making successful mentorship matches.

The event will begin Nov.27th at 6 p.m. Eastern Time and will end when we have completed all 7 games. We will be playing : The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, A Link To The Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, The Wind Waker and The Twilight Princess. Also, we are very excited to announce that we will be playing and broadcasting LIVE from Big Brothers Big Sisters Headquarters in St. Catharines. This is going to add such a wonderful element to the marathon, and will also afford some of the Little Brothers the chance to come help us play the games!

For every major donation goal we hit, there will be a corresponding punishment or act of entertainment that we are committed to doing (Refer to the donation goal list HERE:http://thezeldamarathon.com/donation-schedule/)

Bring Back Outbreak Campaign (Resident Evil 4)

HellDescent writes: "Members of Capcom-Unity have created a campaign to bring Resident Evil: Outbreak to modern consoles. The fans either want a port/remake or a completely new sequel to the Outbreak series. There’s a multitude of links to petitions and even avatar and signature images to help promote the cause further. Resident Evil 5 was all about partners and teamwork but a modern Outbreak would be fantastic. Something along the lines of a more serious and scary Left 4 Dead would be great. So check out the thread and give them your support."

Federal Judge: Madden Monopoly Suit May Proceed Against EA (Madden NFL 06)

EA had previously requested that Judge Vaughn Walker dismiss claims by Geoffrey Pecover and Jeffrey Lawrence. The two Madden buyers, serving as named plaintiffs in the class-action suit, alleged that by eliminating competition for NFL-licensed games EA had acted in a monopolistic fashion and unjustly enriched itself at the expense of consumers. On Friday Judge Walker issued a ruling denying EA’s motion. The Judge did, however, rule that only claims in California and Washington, D.C. would go forward since that is where the two named plaintiffs in the case reside.
